Each quarter, we choose an organization that is near and dear to our hearts as our Pledge 1% recipient. The Pledge 1% movement challenges companies to donate 1% of their revenue, product, or employee time (or all three) to support local nonprofit organizations. This winter quarter, we are excited to announce Operation Warm as our Pledge 1% recipient.

This incredible organization serves under-resourced children, providing warmth, confidence, and hope through basic needs programs. They seek to provide not only physical warmth but also emotional warmth and the hope of a brighter future. We spoke with Erin from Operation Warm to learn more about all this organization has to offer. Here’s what he shared with us:
What is the Mission of Operation Warm?
Operation Warm provides warmth, confidence, and hope through basic needs programs that connect under-resourced children to the community resources they need to thrive.
How does Operation Warm Impact Families?
Operation Warm (OW) is a highly experienced non-profit organization dedicated to serving children in North America. By collaborating with a network of dedicated volunteers, supporters, and beneficiaries, OW has successfully impacted the lives of over 6 million children. These positive impacts go beyond immediate physiological needs:
- OW's commitment goes beyond providing essential items such as coats and shoes—we also strive to alleviate the financial burdens faced by low-income families and to help them discover new sources of hope and resilience.
- By providing new Operation Warm coats or shoes, children gain more than just clothing. They gain opportunities for improved school attendance, ensuring uninterrupted access to vital instruction, warm and comfortable learning environments, outdoor play with peers, and access to nutritious food.
